Uniforms:

Students are required to wear uniforms specified by Ave Maria Academy listed below:

High School Boys:

  • Shirt – White or light blue oxford, short or long sleeve. White undershirts only.
  • Pants – Navy blue or khaki color docker type pants (no cargo pants.)
  • Tie  – Any solid color or respectful pattern
  • Belt – Black or Brown
  • Socks- White, black, navy blue or tan
  • Shoes – Dress shoes or tennis shoes- white or dark colored
  • Sweaters – AMA issued or Navy Blue sweater, vest or Blazer

High School Girls:

  • Shirt – White or light blue solid collared/polo long or short sleeved shirt
  • Skirt or Dress Pants – Navy blue or Khaki color- (no tight jean type)

             (no skorts)(Shorts may be worn under skirts)

             *Skirt length should be 3” off the ground

              when kneeling.

  • Leggings/Tights – Solid navy blue, white or flesh colored
  • Socks – White, navy blue or tan
  • Belt- if required, black or brown
  • Shoes – Closed toe, solid color ( acceptable colors- white, tan, brown,
  •                  black, navy, gray)
  • Sweaters – AMA issued or Navy Blue sweater, vest or Blazer

Elementary and Middle School Boys:

  • Shirt – Lt. blue polo or lt. blue oxford, short or long sleeve (tie optional)
  • Pants – Navy blue dress pants (no cargo pants)
  • Belt – Black or Brown
  • Shoes – Dress shoes or solid color tennis shoes

Elementary and Middle School Girls:

  • Shirt – Lt. blue collared shirt – short or long sleeved
  • Skirt, pants or jumper – Navy blue (no jean type pants)

             *Skirt length should be 3” off the ground when kneeling.

  • Belt- if required, black or brown
  • Shoes – Dress shoes or solid color tennis shoes

            (no boots or open toed shoes)

  • Socks – White or blue socks (any length) or tights
  • Sweaters – AMA issued or Navy Blue sweater, vest or Blazer
  • No hats, gloves, scarfs in classroom or hallways                                                                                                         
  • Shorts (navy blue knee length uniform shorts)(tan for HS boys) allowed for boys only in September and May

Parents (at least one) are required to be involved in one or more of the following ways:

  1. Teaching as a mentor
  2. Daily Duties: Playground monitor, grader, copier, set-up, clean-up, general helper.
  3. Annual Teams:  fundraising, social, apostolic, or spiritual. All families participate on one of our teams.

Catholic Faith

Ave Maria is truly Catholic.  Mentors, parent helpers, and students are expected to participate in all Catholic activities throughout the day.  This includes morning meditation, Angelus at noon, and Rosary or Divine Mercy chaplet. Daily Mass is also available at nearby St. Mark’s.

Mentors are required to be practicing Catholics and STAND certified.

Grades

Grades are provided by mentors quarterly.  It is the duty of the parents as primary educators to assign the final grades for their children.
