Ave Maria Academy (AMA) meets on Tuesdays and Fridays from Mid-September to Late May.  The day starts at 8:30 am with math.  At 11:30 am all students gather for song, prayer and angelus before noon lunch.  At 1:15 afternoon classes begin with dismissal at 3pm.

AMA prefers that a parent to stay at AMA during the school day.  The parent helps with mentoring, assisting in the classroom, grading, copying, setting-up, cleaning, and other duties that come up during the day.  Without this help, AMA could not exist.  However, if there are circumstances that prevent this, please let the Board know.  Drop-offs are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Mentors, the teachers of the classes, consist of moms, dads, and outside teachers.   Parents are encouraged to teach if they have the talent and the desire.  If no parent is found with the particular expertise needed for a class, AMA searches for skilled educators in the Catholic Community.  All mentors must be Catholic and Veritas trained.

Students are required to be respectful, polite, and prayer-filled.  AMA supports and guides them in their quest to become saints.
